In 1981, inspired by the desire to make his son a friend that would last a lifetime, our founder, John Sortino, crafted his first-ever Teddy Bear, Bearcho. And with that, Vermont Teddy Bear was born. My Little Pony (MLP) is a toy line and media franchise developed by American toy company Hasbro. The first toys were developed by Bonnie Zacherle, Charles Muenchinger, and Steve D’Aguanno, and were produced in 1981. The ponies feature colorful bodies, manes and a unique symbol on one or both sides of their flanks. This particular bear, at its core, is a Vermont Teddy Bear, dressed in a My Little Pony outfit that came out of the Build-A-Bear Workshop. I was unable to find what connection Vermont Teddy Bear has with the latter two companies. The bear is approx 15 inches in length. Whether or not you associate the Rainbow colors with any group or organization is your personal choice.
